Hello everyone! The show in Dwellingup went really well and I am touched by the positive feedback I received. To those who weren't able to make it (completely understandable as I know most of you don't live that far South) the body of work is being bought to Fremantle to be displayed in the David Giles Gallery on High Street. Opening is the 7th of March Saturday 6pm if any of you would like to join me for a drink to celebrate my touring show.
This new body of work is inspired by a lifelong fascination with nature and the exquisite beauty it possesses. My pieces have a vibrancy and texture which bring a new zest to the classic subject of native flora. With a conscious use of colour and many layers of glazing broken up by heavy impasto, these flowers jump off the canvas.
